Imagine a world without light
Endless darkness
Dim, dreary, dense
A place where evil breathes

Now imagine a world without dark
Infinite white
Bright, blinding, bare
A place where nothing is questioned

Can you see?
A world cloaked in shadow
A world drowned in light
Both lost in their extremes

Light can’t be cherished without dark
Dark can’t be known without light
For the world to turn
Contrast must remain

Though sometimes
I wonder where I shall stay
