When you look into the mirror
Do you ever question what stares back?
Sure, the reflection is you
But what does it lack?
Do you notice it’s hair
Grey, scattered, or gone?
Or it’s face
Tired, broken, or sallow-drawn
When you look into the mirror
Do you notice anything deeper?
Far beyond the surface
Of the facial features?
Do you notice it’s visions
Of a life, dreamed but dead?
How about it’s regrets
Of words never said?
Do you notice it’s wants
Of health, comfort and peace?
Or even it’s fears
Of insecurities that never quite cease
When you look in the mirror,
Look at what stares back
Understand it well
For you two are forever a pack
